Lately, many users have strongly criticised the official casino affiliate program of Videoslots Casino – Videoslots Affiliates. At the middle of March 2017, a discussion over the fairness and transparency of Videoslots Affiliates has been started at the Affiliate Guard Dog (AGD) by some affiliates who have called the program a rogue one.
Videoslots changed the terms and conditions (above) which is against the terms of their accreditation Must not implement retroactive terms and conditions to their affiliate programs without opening up a dialogue with the affiliate and discuss other options. Videoslots takes affiliate monitoring system on board News on 8 Dec 2018 Moving quickly following its expensive run-in with the UK Gambling Commission recently online casino operator Videoslots.com has contracted Wag.io impose more control over affiliate marketers and their handling of compliance and brand integrity matters for the operator.

The problem was described by some of the users as one of the worst ones ever made, especially in terms of functionality and transparency. As reported on GPWA and AGD, the rows of Active Players and Unique Depositors have been zeroed out, and affiliates blamed Videoslots Affiliates for failing to provide clear and detailed information about how their revenue is calculated.
The Truth is Out There
The report of the stats closure was not taken seriously at first, but a few days after the announcement some affiliates harshly criticised Videoslots for not doing anything to make things right. The negative opinions towards the program escalated quickly, after some of the AGD users called the other affiliates to take measures and require more detailed information about their revenue. And while some wondered what had been actually going on with Videoslots affiliates, there were some affiliates who pointed out that the scheme of the affiliate program was fairly obvious and even made guesses that had been going on from the very start.

Despite the fact that some affiliates did not pay serious attention to what had been happening to the Active Players and Unique Depositors stats, most of them confessed that the issue needed to be resolved. The Videoslots Affiliates was called a rogue program by many affiliates, and the brand was urged to get back the trust of its affiliates by making sure its policy is fair and transparent.
According to many webmasters, the affiliate program of Videoslots is obviously unfair, and some AGD users described the issue as a serious problem. Things got even bigger when a representative of the Videoslots brand took part in the discussions and reassured the affiliates that the company is aware of the issues its affiliates had had with the program. The representative also promised that all the necessary measures have been taken in order to make things right and the situation is improved, so that all affiliates gain trust in the company’s operations again.
Some Affiliate Guard Dog users insisted that Videoslots brand was shady and was only making schemes to make a gain on the affiliates. They compared the new affiliate program of the brand with an old one, saying the new program is not transparent to customers and blaming the brand for making money on the backs of its affiliates. As one of the users pointed out, it had been almost two years since the stats had been turned off for the affiliates using the Videoslots program. The AGD user reminded that at that time Videoslots had said that it would take only a couple of weeks for the stats to be brought back up, but no actions on that had been actually made.
Bearing that in mind, it is no wonder that affiliates have lost their trust in the brand and do not believe them. After all, two years is a period long enough for every provider to put its affiliate program in order, so it is pretty normal for an affiliate to think there is something shady about it. And whatever technical work is needed, two years is more than enough for Videoslots to resolve the issues that have led to the turbulence, if any.
Videoslots Affiliate Response to the Accusations
The representative who joined the discussion at the Affiliate Guard Dog (AGD) claimed that things are not that simple as the brand’s affiliates believed them to be, because the company had more than 1,900 games offered by about 50 software providers in multiple jurisdictions around the world.
According to what the representative said, the company had been trying to find a solution to the problem, but continued insisting that there was nothing wrong about the affiliates program. In addition, the company still insisted that it had done its best to find a proper solution to the problem, no matter that its reputation was put on stake.
The affiliates, however, once again protested everything the representative said, insisting on them to reveal how exactly Net Revenue is calculated. And that was probably the right thing for them to do, considering the fact that such information is not classified, and it does not take special resources to be made clear. They were not satisfied with the information included in the Terms and Conditions and insisted on the fact that various other deductions had been made, so that the program was actually making a gain for its own on their backs.
What is more, some affiliates also asked the question why other programs do not feature fees similar to the ones of the Videoslots. Others protested that there could be some programs that feature similar fees, but their policy offered greater transparency to their affiliates. In any case, the majority of the opinions in both the GPWA and AGD on the matter were concentrated on the belief that a program that has been avoiding to respond simple questions such as the ones asked by the affiliates, could be described in no other way, but as a rogue one.
In fact, the Videoslots Affiliate Program has not provided its affiliates with accurate, clear and detailed information on the matter, which on its own is a reason good enough for the brand to be harshly criticised. The truth is that most affiliates could no longer be fooled with blabbering about all the technical issues and obstacles on the way that prevented the program from being more transparent.
Even after the Head of the Acquisition department at Videoslots Affiliates – Ali Atam – took part in the discussion at AGD, the situation remains pretty heated for the time being. So, it would be great if the brand, after all, manages to provide more clarity on the matter and give more detailed information about the closure of the Active Players and Unique Depositors stats. The Head of the Acquisition department finally promised that more clarity on the Net Revenue calculation would be made, so it remains to be seem whether the brand would keep its promise, or not.
Videoslots Affiliates program
The Videoslots Affiliates is an affiliate program that gives its members the chance to be compensated by using a number of plans. The program was considered to be used primarily as a revenue sharing model, which allows the affiliate to receive a certain portion of the net revenue generated by them for Videoslots Casino. The percentage received by the affiliates, however, was flexible as it depended on the net revenue generated over the month. It is exactly the lack of clarity on this matter which became the apple of discord and made the affiliates lose trust in the Videoslots brand.
The team of Casino Guardian would appreciate to hear some comments and/or opinions from all parties involved in the matter. We will keep our eyes on the problem, so we will publish the latest updates of the matter.
